We are proud to be sponsoring the switching on of the Henley Christmas Festival Lights
- On Friday, November 24th, at 7 pm, Christopher Biggins, known for his roles in Celebrity Big Brother and I’m a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! (winner in 2007), will be in Henley to switch on the Christmas tree lights. Mayor Kellie Hinton will join him for the ceremony during the town’s Christmas Festival.
- Accompanying them will be the winner of the Mayor’s Christmas card competition and characters from the Kenton Theatre’s pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk.
- Biggins, who first gained fame as Lukewarm in the BBC sitcom Porridge, has a background in West End performances and has been involved in pantomimes across the country.
- In his own words, Biggins mentioned, "I’m thrilled to be turning on the Christmas lights in Henley, which is a town I love and have often visited to see friends. Christmas is a wonderful time of the year, and I’m looking forward to meeting Kellie, the Mayor of Henley."
- According to Town Centre Manager Paul Carey, "Christopher Biggins is a national treasure, and I’m thrilled that he’ll be coming to Henley to turn on the Christmas lights this year."
