Caversham-based football team Mod FC is hoping to build on its last two seasons successes with the backing of a local building supplies company.
When the Division 1 team, which plays in the Reading and District Sunday League, needed a smart new kit it turned to Peppard Building Supplies for help.
Founder of the team Billy Carlisle explained: “I started working for Peppard Building Supplies in January and approached the sales and marketing director Ru Butler to find out whether he would be willing to sponsor us. Thankfully he said yes!”
Mod FC has had a number of recent successes on the field. They had their most successful season was two years ago when they won the league and cup double. Last season they narrowly missed out on promotion by just one point.
Peppard Building Supplies sales and marketing director Ru Butler said: “As a local company serving Reading and Henley, we try to support the community where we can. We hope that Mod FC can build on the successes of the last two years and are looking forward to the season ahead. Anyone interested in the team’s progress will be able to get regular updates on our Twitter and Facebook pages: www.twitter.com/peppards and www.facebook.com/peppardbuildingsupplies."
